What we do
AustralianDropshippers.com.au helps Australians understand what it takes to start and run a dropshipping business properly. We publish guides on how dropshipping works, ABNs and business names, GST, income tax and record keeping, choosing suppliers, imports and biosecurity, product safety, refunds and the consumer guarantees, delivery promises, pricing and margins, and email marketing and privacy. Our margin calculator turns your own figures into an estimate of profit per order and break-even advertising cost.
About this domain
australiandropshippers.com.au previously hosted a supplier directory and blog about dropshipping run by a different operator. That site stopped operating, and the domain was relaunched in 2026 as an independent guide. Every page has been written from scratch. We are not connected with the previous operator. We don't run a supplier directory, sell products, or rank or endorse suppliers. Old directory links now point to our guide on choosing a supplier, which explains how to vet any supplier yourself.
How we research
We base our guides on official and authoritative sources, including:
- the Australian Taxation Office and the Australian Business Register;
- ASIC and IP Australia;
- the ACCC and Product Safety Australia;
- the Australian Border Force and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry;
- ACMA and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner;
- business.gov.au and the Federal Register of Legislation.
We list sources on every page and show when each guide was last updated. We don't invent statistics, earnings, costs or testimonials. Example numbers are always labelled as illustrations. Read our editorial policy.
Not advice
Our guides are general information. They are not legal, tax or financial advice. Rules change, and the right approach depends on your situation, so check the official sources and talk to a registered tax agent, accountant or lawyer before making decisions.
Independence
AustralianDropshippers.com.au is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government agency or regulator, supplier, platform, marketplace, courier, wholesaler, directory, course provider or any business with a similar name.
How the site is funded
We may earn money from clearly labelled advertising, affiliate links to relevant tools or books, or labelled featured listings for relevant service businesses. These never affect our guides, and we never accept payment to recommend a supplier. See how we make money.
